About the Producer
Sapere Originis — Latin for “Know the Source” — was founded by Meredith Hyslop, who moved from the United States to France in 2009 to complete a specialized master’s program in international wine and spirits business, and worked for a winery in the Languedoc before starting the company. She works between southern France and the Pacific Northwest.
Hyslop focuses on sustainable and organic producers primarily from France — Languedoc, Champagne, Alsace, Burgundy, Loire, and Bordeaux — as well as Spain and beyond.
