San Francisco-based importer founded in 1979 by Martine Saunier, a pioneering figure in American wine importing — representing producers from Burgundy, the Rhône, and beyond. Now owned and led by Gregory Castells.
About the Producer
Martine’s Wines is one of the West Coast’s most respected boutique importers, founded in 1979 by Martine Saunier. Saunier, who died several years ago, spent decades introducing American sommeliers and retailers to family-owned domaines that were then largely unknown here. The company is now owned and led by Gregory Castells, previously Martine’s president.
The portfolio remains built around family-owned domaines and estates from France, Italy, Spain, and other regions, chosen for their authenticity, quality, and sense of place. Cherry Hill carries the Martine’s Wines portfolio as a cornerstone of our European wine program.
